This VR experience aims to visualize the invisible factors that affect pedestrian comfort in their daily lives, set in the familiar environment of a bus stop. The heat emitted by buses at a stop was simulated with PSI-BOIL and OpenFOAM computer fluid dynamics (CFD) models, the output of which was used to create this animated volumetric visualization. Participants are able to perceive in VR how different buses increase the surrounding thermal levels with this interactive exploratory experience.
